We were pleased and excited to work with our friends from Creation Records to host a memorable night of rock and roll nostalgia and live music Supersonic. The night was a celebration of the legendary record label and went of with a bang. Creation provided a soundtrack to the 90s and brought us the sound of much loved bands such as Oasis, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub and Super Furry Animals to name but a few. Upside Down is the new documentary that tells the tale of Creation and how it really was. Tim Abbot (Former director of Creation) and Chris Abbot (Former A&R man) were guests of honour and on hand to introduce the screening of the feature and give an overview of what it was all about. Wolverhamptons very own The Partizan Elektra provided the nights live entertainment and rocked it. Sim Spaceman kept it topical and played a great set including all the Creation greats. Tim Abbot even pulled out a Northern Soul set to finish up. All in all a fitting celebration of a great period in time for rock and roll.

Friday saw Luke and Simon (MD) getting a few hours away from their respective desks. Local golfer and friend of the brand Richard Challoner and his great mate Simon Tarr booked an afternoons golf at the famous Forest of Arden golf club. Richard recently moved back to the midlands to concentrate on his Golf full time and hey presto won his first pro-am tournament The Staffs Alliance, you will see Richard around the courses of the midlands sporting his Luke Polos for the next month or so; until that is he embarks for 3 months on P/O cruise ship Aruroa teaching golf in the sunshine the lucky sod!!, then off to the USA to work on his short game. Simon is no slouch himself playing off 6, so Luke and business partner the other Simon had their work cut out. The Luke boys managed to hold their heads up high and Luke now cracks the ball a long way considering he like Simon only plays a few times a year.
Well after 4 hours in the blazing sun they all retired to the clubhouse for buckets of ice cold ale with the scores amazingly all square. Did I forget to mention we split the two friends up as to give them both a handicap; us!! Richard hits the ball further than anyone I have ever seen and that includes Mr Daley!! Richard is just starting out on his professional career and with help from his sponsors Vega Golf (watch out for some exciting news in the future between Luke and Vega Golf) and Couriers North West and of course clothes courtesy of Luke, we all hope we get the chance to see him on the European tour one day. Luke - one of the UKs leading contemporary menswear brands is proud to
announce that it is collaborating with Strongbow - the UKs leading cider brand.
Strongbow is gearing up for a packed summer of music and entertainment by taking the renowned Bowtime Bar on its biggest festival tour ever and Luke will be there every step of the way.
Lukes collaboration comes on two levels. Firstly the brand has designed all the staff uniforms including T-shirts and hoodys featuring the Strongbow logo and Luke Lion logo.
Secondly Luke will feature in the Garden Bar area, which also features Rumours 80s Disco (at selected festivals), and a masseuse. Luke will run a T-shirt customisation experience within the Garden Bar, which will allow festival goers the chance to create their very own bespoke Luke festival T-shirt. As with all that Luke do, the product will be top quality and will be a cool keep sake for the lucky revellers.
Luke is extremely excited to be collaborating with such an iconic brand and feel the brand adjacencies work very well. Stongbow will be focusing on its Strongbow Rewards Hard Graft message, while Lukes original tagline is Workers of the World Unite.
The collaboration works well on many levels and working with Strongbow over the summer will be an exciting project due to a similar brand ethos and target consumer, says Lukes Managing Director Simon Poole
The association will also include a digital campaign with both Lukes website and Strongbows all new facebook site linked.

It must be Stag and lets get married month, now even though Luke was invited to this one he had to pass, what with his wife Tracey expecting their first and Luke saving up a few passes to do some fishing weekends. So it was up to me to support the team (Simon), Ash Taylor is a legend in the fashion trade, ex session drummer at factory records and then with Peter Hook and Pottsy in Revolver, the one after New order and before Monaco.
Ash retired early from music after a few years of pounding away; his discs in his back started to give way, so he turned to fashion with his best mate Stevie Black at French Connection, if you have ever been in his company you are guaranteed a master class in laughter. Well after a few years living with Michelle they have finally decided to tie the knot.
So in celebration Dublin was chosen as the venue for the stag and a mental weekend on the Guinness and Red Bull.
Ash arrived at Manchester airport to be greeted with his costume for the event, on seeing a Robin outfit he seemed to think he had gotten off easy. Very funny to see the change on Ashes face when Greg turned up as Batman (see pictures) and promptly handcuffed himself to Ash!!! 24hrs of friendship with Greg the dwarf developed. I am desperate to get the film on you tube of the pair of them walking hand in hand through Dublin. Greg was a top bloke and was desperate to carry the party on at 2am on the first night, but Ash was totally finished, the weekend went from comedy club to paintballing to partying, A massive thanks to all involved, from Dermots and Andys crazy dancing to Carls paintball trickery, Aidey the voice and to all the other top blokes involved in what was another weekend to remember.

Here we have a couple of friends of Luke, we recognise the one on the right, thats none other than Jimmy Roper who was thumbing a lift to a fashion show in Milan and this bloke gave him a lift, apparently both where on the way to the same gig, weird? and even stranger they are both fans of LUKE!!

Well its a couple of weeks later now, but I have found 5 minutes break to say a big hello and thanks to the 55 strong from the midlands who made Deano the Windows stag weekend in Benidorm.
As always we had the funniest of weekends starting in the Ecky at 2am on the Friday Morning.
Big thanks to all the staff Silvo and Ammo for all the hard work; welcoming everyone with a pint and a sandwich.
We then started what seemed the longest day of our lives flying to Benidorm and spending the first day by the pool and the all inclusive bar the lads managed to keep the hotel staff busy throughout the day and then it was glad rags for a mad night on the tiles; in what is Blackpool in the Sun, some of the group managing the feat of going through the night again, you know who we mean Nick the plaster!!
Deano is Lukes best mate, neighbour and fishing companion, Luke is best man at the forthcoming wedding and had sorted Deano a great old lady costume, see the photos.
We all managed to find a bar where our Matt managed to mess up the bloody online football again. Deano being a Red was crying in his beer when we finally got some football on and Spurs went 2-0 up against Man U, but was as happy as Larry by the end of the game, Nick was still awake. Its the first time I have gone on a weekend booked a hotel and never seen my room. I hope to see all the crew at the forthcoming wedding in Brum on Saturday 23rd May Best of luck to Deano and Jess from the whole team here.
