A brand new exhibition featuring the work of sculptor Chris Mitton is now open at EDGE Project Space in Bethnal Green.

Breaking Boundaries is Mitton’s latest collection, which explores his alternative views of fine art, popular culture and the divisions in today’s society.

On display is the 'Altar Stone' Xbox, Mitton’s latest work, referencing a religious altar to represent how belief systems differ in today’s society. The Hoodie subverts the iconography of the classical marble bust by creating an anonymous anti-hero. Chris Mitton’s iconic Hoodie sculpture has inspired a collection of jewellery designed by Johnny Rocket, accessories designed by Elensa and a limited edition Luke capsule collection, which uses the Hoodie bust throughout, to accompany the recent film BrOTHERHOOD.

Last week we attended a private viewing of Chris Mitton’s Breaking Boundaries, which was attended by BrOTHERHOOD cast members Noel Clarke and Jason Maza.

Breaking Boundaries is on until Saturday 19th November, Thursday - Saturday, 12 - 6 pm.

13, Herald Street, Bethnal Green, E2 6JT
