First designed as workwear for labourers of the farms and mines of American's Western states in the 19th century, jeans took on a new persona by the likes of Marlon Brando and James Dean in the 1950s. Gone were the days of formal attire, these boys brought jeans to the forefront of fashion, which is where they've remained since.
