LUKE SPORT x MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT
Our involvement stretches from the grass roots with the Maximum Group VAG Trophy and Volkswagen Racing Cup all the way to the top with the Official BTTC (Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship). With an association across the board, we aim to sustain and grow the relationship for the benefit of both drivers and teams in all three categories.
In the Touring Car Championship Luke Sport has teamed up with the Maximum Motorsport team, led and driven by Stewart Lines. Lines is a successful British and European motocross and sidecar competitor and now leading touring car racer. Driving a bright green Ford Focus ST, Lines is excited about the season ahead: "I am really looking forward to getting back in the car and getting to grips with things."
The first three rounds of this year's championship took place at the beginning of April at world famous Brands Hatch trank. With some really tricky qualifying and race conditions there were plenty of thrills and spills over the weekend with Lines racing hard at all times. Despite finishing in the pack in two races and having to retire in the other due to gear box problems, it was a good weekend all in all for the Maximum team.
"I'm pleased overall," said Lines. "I think we have learnt a lot again as a team, we have made massive progress over the last few days and I'm already looking forward to making more progress at Donington Park in a couple of week's time."
Rounds 4, 5 and 6 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship continue at Donington Park this weekend.
Look out for regular updates, competitions and other exciting features as the race season unfolds!
