OasisDefinitely x LUKE 1977

LUKE 1977 were proud to host a tour across ten of our key stores with the legend that is Tim Abbot – one of the key figures behind Oasis’s rise to the top. Not only did he appear on the Cigarettes and Alcohol sleeve, he also served as Managing Director of the band’s label, Creation Records, when Oasis broke big.

The events gave Oasis fans an exclusive opportunity to meet Tim and discuss his book OasisDefinitely and the film tour The Lost Tapes. Together, they took guests behind the scenes of Oasis at their most raw, chaotic and iconic – told by the man who was behind the camera.

Each evening took guests on a journey through Tim Abbot’s personal history with Oasis, sharing stories from the film and book, all set to a curated soundtrack from his time at Creation Records.

Alongside complimentary drinks, there were special surprises from Tim and LUKE 1977, making each night a memorable one. With limited capacity at every store, the events created an intimate and engaging atmosphere for those who attended.

Luke Roper, LUKE 1977’s Creative Director, has been friends with Tim Abbot for many years, with both starting out in Walsall in the West Midlands. Tim has followed and supported the brand since its inception, making the partnership feel completely organic – especially given LUKE 1977’s strong ties to British music culture. A collaborative edition of the book was made available in LUKE stores from mid-September, with many attendees bringing copies along for personal signings.
